The Pavement, Concrete & Drainage Sales Representative role is to present, promote, and sell services to existing and prospective customers. Our ideal candidate has some knowledge of our core services and relationships and contacts in the Commercial real estate world including retail, office buildings and industrial properties, Common interest realty associations a plus. The Construction Sales Rep. is responsible for performing cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs as well as establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships. The Construction Sales Rep. is a 100% self-sourced “hunter” role. Should have experience in asphalt paving, construction, landscaping and/or construction materials industries. Should be comfortable being on jobsites and dealing with contractors, engineers, and equipment operators

 

Duties/Tasks:

  • Cold calls and prospect to engage and acquire new customers.
  • Maintains relationships and customer satisfaction with existing clients.
  • Meets with customers on site to do job walkthroughs.
  • Creates written summaries with measurements and photos after each meeting with customers.
  • Works with Chief Estimator to price jobs accurately for clients.
  • Drafts contracts after price established with and approved by Chief Estimator using Salesforce.
  • Attends weekly sales meetings.
  • Regular travel to job sites is required.
  • Additional assignments as needed.

  • Experience in construction sales, preferably in asphalt paving and concrete.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • A team player with high level of dedication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extremely motivated and driven.
  • Must be able to handle challenging personalities in a professional manner

Experience and/or Education:

  • Experience in construction sales, preferably in asphalt paving and concrete.
  • Basic math skills required.

  • High school Diploma mandatory; College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of outside sales experience required.

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • CRM (Client Relationship Management) program experience is mandatory.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • A valid driver’s license is required

Physical demands:
Sitting while driving or in the office, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time, bending and lifting up to 50lbs as needed.
